What to visit in Boulbon:
A castle, a superb fortress and windmill dominate the village : Pass under the fortified gate and discover the hidden history behind its old stones. You will come accross old houses with beautiful facades, some with Renaissance windows. Antique, beautifully sculptured doors, alleys that open up onto charming squares with colourful window boxes.
You will discover the church and the St Marcellin chapel, a jewel of Romanesque art.
3 km from the village is the beautiful Saint Michel de Frigolet Abbey, an ancient monsatry full of charm, bathed in a magical light.
Founded in the 10th century by the monks of Montmajour it has since been restored and looked after and maintained with care over the years The Abbey is surrounded by luxurious Mediterranean vegetation. You will be able to enjoy wandering the pleasantly shaded alleys and relax in the beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The Abbey has a shop, restaurant and open-air amphitheatre.
