LOCATION :

Cheval-Blanc is a pretty little village located on the Southern slopes of the Luberon.  Surrounded by lots of pretty orchards and lovely natural landscapes it is the ideal spot for taking relaxing walks through the beautiful local countryside : Gorges de Régalon, Trou du Rat and Valloncourt to name a few.

Close to Cavaillon, the landscapes are beautiful, a mix of hills and water.  The local Carpentras canal sets off the beautiful surroundings and is used to water the local fruit and vegetable crops.

The village has two contrasting parts to it.  The old part of the village is tranquil and there is not much activity, while the other half, the Canebière, is more lively and has a selection of local shops.  This part of the village is constantly expanding with more and more cafés, local shops and boutiques.  

Cheval Blanc ‘s historical and cultural heritage :

You can visit several monuments and sites : Saint-Paul Church, an ancient chapel extended several times and decorated with bells from other Chapels that no longer exist.  Sainte-Thérèse Chapel is also worth a visit.

Roussillon with its stunning ochre rocks, the Gorges du Régalon, The Provencal Colorado, the impressive Mont Ventoux, L'étang de La Bonde…

The Vaucluse is ideally located and has superb light and lovely weather.  Renonwned for its rich cultural heritage, many of which are outdoors under the unique skies of Provence.  Full of culture, the Vaucluse hosts lots of contemporary music festivals and cultural events all year round.   

Tastes, flavours and culinary traditions:
The Vaulcuse, also known as the orchard of Provence and well-known for it’s vineyards, offers a wide range of culinary delights thanks to its rich soils and Mediterranean climate with over 300 days of sunshine each year. 
The local markets are colourful and full of delicious local produce that are a delight to taste.
Maubec is also renowned for its well-known vineyards and AOC Côtes du Luberon wines, eaux de vie and grape seed oils.  The Sunday morning farmer’s market is a must for conoisseurs.

Vaucluse Festivals and Traditions :
The Vaucluse has lots of fantastic traditional and folkloric festivals throughout the year. 

Sports and Leisure:
Tennis. Hiking and horse riding.  Mountain biking.  Fishing.  Hot air balloon flights over the pretty Luberon.

By Train : TGV Train stations : Avignon (30 minutes).  Arles train station is less than 20 km.
